To execute transactions and smart contracts on MetaChain, users are required to pay Gas Fees. These fees are calculated based on the complexity of the operations performed and are paid in DFI. This mechanism ensures that the network remains efficient and that users are incentivized to optimize their contract code, thereby reducing unnecessary load on the network. Furthermore, MetaChain also supports EIP-1559
