The Core Module, adapted from the robust and secure Bitcoin protocol, serves as the bedrock of MetaChain. Handling fundamental network functions such as transaction validation, block production, and consensus protocol ensures stability and security for the entire system.
An essential part of this module is the Unspent Transaction Outputs (UTXO) system, a model inherited from Bitcoin that provides a proven and robust method for tracking ownership of tokens. In MetaChain's context, DFI exists in the Core Module in the form of these UTXOs, serving a crucial role in covering transaction costs and fees.
